Visual Communication Methods

Places Magazine: Community Character Plan for Collier County, Florida: Study the Hierarchy, Contrast, Shape, and dimension of time.

Why This Layout Works

1. This layout is interesting because it says so much in black and white. The above 3 part plan series is a good way to show change over time in a plan (time & shape).

2. Using Photomontage, Urban Advantage created a time series also showing change over time from an alternate perspective. (time & shape) See the GCUDV Photomontage Seminar.

3. The Proposed Reconfiguration Plan uses Hierarchy and Color Value to rank the most dramatic changes. (hierarchy & color).
