Michigan University hosted UDVL Director; Professor Moira Zellner, to Present Innovations in Collaborative Modeling
On August 19-21, 2019, faculty, students, and community members from the U.S. gathered in Detroit, MI, to participate in a three-day workshop on qualitative, semi-quantitative, and quantitative participatory modeling (PM) methods. Faculty and community partners dedicated to advancing PM techniques hosted these sessions. Professor Moira Zellner; UDVL Director, was invited to lead the workshop on Agent-Based Modeling. Workshop participants had the opportunity to learn to use visualization tools to examine collaborative planning and management processes to address complex problems in a range of applications, from public health, to urban agriculture and economic development, to flooding.
